Viewfinders

These sculptures are designed to be viewfinders, where you look through the cut out holes and enjoy the scenery.

It will help you pay close attention to your surroundings. These view finders are made from oak sleepers as a reminder to the old railway line that used to run through this woodland.

The Viewfinders are part of the Frog Pond Wood sculpture trail.

Sculpture trail created by Ami Marsden and Nigel Simpson

Activity

  1. Make a picture with a sculpture! Move around a little to see how the view changes.
  2. Look for where you think the perfect picture may be and blink your eyes to take a photo.
  3. Go closer to the frame for a bigger view and further away for a smaller one.

Suggestions

  1. The views are focused on particular trees, views and other sculptures. Using a viewfinder helps you to focus on something and not get distracted by what's around it.
