Awen Cultural Trust was established in 2015 as a charitable organisation. In Bridgend County Borough they operate a range of cultural facilities and activities.

Bridgend County Borough has seven beaches. All are in the Porthcawl area on the south west coast, and most are sandy, as well as easily accessible.

From 01 May to 30 September dogs are banned from a number of beaches in Bridgend County Borough.

We are responsible for cutting grass owned by Bridgend County Borough Council. Grass cutting commences in April and continues until October.

Master water sports with expert lessons in Rest Bay. The centre offers surf hire and year-round classes with the award-winning Porthcawl Surf School, as well as stand-up paddle board training.

Bridgend County is a must-visit destination for golfers, boasting some of the best courses in the UK.

The Darren Fawr mountain biking trails consist of two routes. The blue Glengarw Trail is for intermediate riders and the black Gellideg Trail is for experienced riders.

There are a variety of events and activities in town centres across the county borough.
