Hut 9 Open Weekend

Step back in time to the 1940s with The Hut 9 Preservation Group.

Embark on a journey through Bridgend's WWII past as they unveil the secrets of the massive ordnance factories, the American soldiers stationed at the camp, the German pow escape and the high-ranking German officers who were later held there.

This event is not suitable for:

  • Children under 5 years of age.
  • Anybody who is sensitive to loud bangs or noises.

Brecon Carreg Porthcawl 10K

Porthcawl Town Centre

The race takes place on closed-roads, taking in a number of landmarks and stunning seaside spots including Rest Bay, Trecco Bay, the picturesque town centre, historic Grand Pavilion and the iconic Porthcawl Lighthouse.

A host of other sporting activities for families and children will also be included in the day's action - including an electrifying Fun Run, Toddler Dash and competitive Future Challengers race, giving budding athletes a chance to take their first footsteps into running.
