Multiply is a UK Government funded numeracy skills programme that is free and easily accessible to adults who want to improve and progress in life and work, through developing numeracy skills and achieving numeracy and maths qualifications.
How to enrol
To enrol, please complete an expression of interest form and one of our advisors will be in touch with you.
Range of Support
Multiply offers free one to one tuition, and small group maths sessions for adults, all available at suitable times and venues throughout Bridgend’s communities. For those wanting to build confidence with everyday numeracy skills, or to work towards a qualification like GCSE Maths and ESW Application of Number.
Multiply offers a range of courses through our partner organisations to ensure there is numeracy support available to all residents of Bridgend who would like to upskill.

All Multiply courses and sessions are completely free.
Courses for Parents
Multiply offers a range of support and courses for parents who would like to help their children to learn maths. Parents can benefit from one-to-one tutoring or group sessions with an experienced skills tutor, creating a learning plan tailored to their needs that can mirror the maths skills their child is learning in school to empower them to feel confident supporting their child with their homework.
Money Management
Citizens Advice Bridgend offer a range of sessions to help residents learn all about their personal finances, with sessions in budgeting, banking, bills and credit, pensions, debt management and better-off in work calculations. Each session lasts two hours and can be delivered face-to-face in a range of locations across Bridgend or online, with all equipment provided. You can choose to do just one or all of the sessions, it is completely your choice.
Gain Qualifications
Through Multiply you can gain a range of numeracy-based qualifications for free, including: Maths GCSE, ESW Application of Number and a range of vocational maths courses. Learn in a relaxed environment with one-to-one tutoring or small group sessions, based on your personal preference. Multiply offers a new learning experience for adults that is tailored to your needs with flexible sessions
Build confidence with Maths
Multiply offers a range of soft skills sessions with minimal commitment required. Build your confidence in maths with our experienced skills tutors supporting you every step of the way, you can work with our skills tutors as much or as little as you would like, arranging sessions at times and locations convenient for you. You can focus on a single area of maths that you would like to build your confidence in and empower yourself.
Multiply can help all adults
Specific courses are available for, but are not limited to the following:
- People who want to build confidence with numeracy.
- People who would like to take the first steps towards a qualification.
- Parents who would like to improve their numeracy skills to help their children, and help with their own progression.
- Prisoners, recently released from prison or on temporary licence.
- People unable to apply for certain jobs due to a lack of numeracy skills.
- People who would like to upskill or gain qualifications to access a certain job or progress in their career.
- Those who want to learn numeracy and vocational skills at the same time.
- People who would like to improve their maths skills to manage their money and understand their finances.
- Those who are leaving, or have just left the care system.
- Unemployed or employed people.
