Comfort scheme
We operate a comfort scheme which offers a grant to businesses who allow public access to their toilets, without obligation to purchase any goods. The following businesses participate in the scheme:
- Pier Hotel, Porthcawl
- Jolly Sailor, Nottage
- Ancient Briton, Nottage
Changing Places toilet map
The Changing Places toilet map system was developed by the British Toilet Association in partnership with the charities Mencap and Pamis. This system identifies larger toilet facilities that cater for individuals who are suffering from PMLD (Profound and Multiple Learning Difficulties) and their families and carers.

National Key Scheme
There is a National Key Scheme (NKS) which offers disabled people independent access to locked public toilets around the country. Toilets fitted with RADAR locks can be found in:
- shopping centres
- pubs
- cafes
- department stores
- bus and train stations
Keys can be purchased through the NKS scheme. You may need proof of disability.
