Bridgend Youth Justice Service
Bridgend Youth Justice Service (YJS) is a multi-agency team made up of representatives from:
- social services
- the police
- health and voluntary agencies
The service also sits within Education and Family Support Directorate within the council.
Bridgend YJS will strive to prevent and reduce re-offending amongst children and young people. The service aims to increase their self-esteem, responsibility and opportunities to develop positive life styles.
The service works with young people aged 8-17 years old who are either at risk of offending or have offended.
