Statement: Serious road traffic collision in Llangynwyd

Bridgend County Borough Council would like to offer its condolences to the family and friends of a 28-year-old female who died in a road traffic collision earlier this week. Thoughts are also with those who were taken to hospital.
A two-vehicle collision occurred at 21:24 pm on Wednesday evening (10 August) on the A4063, 1/2 mile west of the paper mills in Llangynwyd, Maesteg.
There were three casualties, unfortunately the driver of one vehicle was pronounced deceased at the scene, the other two casualties were taken to hospital for treatment.
Police investigations are ongoing and anyone who witnessed the crash is asked to contact South Wales Police and quote the occurrence number 2200269545.
