Social care vacancies
Bridgend County Borough Council is a great place to work. You can expect great opportunities and a supportive working environment.
If you already have experience of working with children, young people or vulnerable adults, we would like to hear from you. Your experience could be from similar roles or other opportunities like a work placement, your personal life, volunteering, or as part of a training programme.
Depending on the role, you don't always need qualifications. What is really important is having the right values, behaviours and attitudes to work effectively with people who need care and support.

Protecting children, young people or adults at risk is a core responsibility of all council employees.
Applicants should note that a criminal records check by the Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) will be necessary for the successful applicant.
The council is committed to enabling people to have more voice and control in their lives. We provide care and support for children, young people and adults in a range of settings, including their own homes or residential provisions.
We want to appoint staff who are able to:
- provide support and personal care to individuals in their own home or community
- promote independence and encourage as well as empower individuals to express their views and opinions, and make informed choices
- observe individuals and complete documents as needed
