Garden waste

Bank holiday recycling and waste update

There will be no collections on Monday 27 May 2024. Collections will take place ONE day later, from Tuesday 28 May until Saturday 1 June.

Please place your recycling and waste at your property’s edge by 7am on your collection day.

Community recycling centres at Brynmenyn, Maesteg and Pyle will remain open as normal.

Garden waste collections are available to Bridgend County Borough residents.

Collections of garden waste take place every two weeks between March and November (18 March  – 15 November 2024).

Please place your garden waste at the kerbside between 7pm the evening before and 7am on the day of your collection.

Please note: Your garden waste collection day will be advised with the delivery of your sacks.

There is an annual charge of £50 per household, or £45 for pensioners. Each household that registers receives two garden sacks for collecting and storing their garden waste ready for their collection day.

Additional sacks can be purchased for an additional annual fee of £6.14. This charge is non-refundable.
