Pupils get creative with sustainable play this Recycle Week

Pupils at Garth Primary School in Maesteg learnt all about sustainability through play this week, in a creative workshop held by the council’s waste and management provider Plan B Solutions to mark UK Recycle Week. (14-20 October).

Time to talk council budget 2025

The Cabinet of Bridgend County Borough Council has approved the purchase of a further three properties to provide temporary accommodation and acknowledged the range of strategies undertaken by the council in a bid to address the stark homelessness situation across the county borough.

Statement following house fly infestation

Councillor Martyn Jones, local member for Bettws and Cabinet Member for Education and Youth Services, said: “Environmental health officers from the Shared Regulatory Service (SRS) are continuing their efforts to identify the source of an infestation of house flies, largely found in homes in the Bettws area.
