Planning and building control

Officers of the Local Planning Authority, Building Control Section and Strategic Transport Section at Bridgend County Borough Council will be working on a hybrid basis alternating between the office and their homes but can still be contacted.

For Local Development Plan related enquiries please contact the Development Planning Section on developmentplanning@bridgend.gov.uk.

We accept new planning and building regulations applications (preferably electronically through the Planning and Building Control Portals) and we will still field electronic requests for pre-application advice.

We have gone back to undertaking face to face meetings (although we can still utilise Teams for remote meetings) and we are still visiting sites and erecting site notices.

Finally, we will shortly start to operate hybrid Development Control Committee meetings through a combination of attending officers and Teams as it is now possible to undertake meetings safely from the Chamber.  Details of DC Committee dates are posted online.
