Your Voice
We value your opinions, especially when ensuring the services we offer meet your needs.
Last summer we held a ‘Your Voice’ survey, we wanted to see what was going well and to identify any gaps in the needs of young people in the area to evaluate current services.
The survey was developed through collaboration with Bridgend Youth Council, the Children's Rights and Participation team and Bridgend Youth Service.
The survey consisted of questions on age, education and employment and youth centre attendance.
It also had questions on factors that contribute towards happiness and unhappiness, current support for emotional wellbeing/ mental health, if and how they would like to access support and the barriers that may stop them from getting support.
The survey received 790 responses.
You can view and download our 'Your Voice Summary' report below:

Your Voice - Anti-Bullying Survey
The survey revealed that the number 1 factor that contributed to young people feeling unhappy was bullying. (The results showed that the data obtained was mainly applicable to those attending secondary school and between the age of 11-13yrs old).
BCBC collaborated with Bridgend Youth Council and a range of professionals to further inquire into how we can support the needs of young people in Bridgend who have experienced bullying.
We created the Your Voice Anti-Bullying Survey to seek young people's feedback on how we can further shape our Youth Support Services to best meet your needs.
This is an anonymous, voluntary survey. You can discontinue the survey at any point.
