All-new community recycling centre in Pyle is officially opened

An official opening for the all-new community recycling centre in Pyle was held earlier this week and a number of local dignitaries along with Local Environmental Champions and award winners Aoife Dean and Kylan Williams were invited to explore the modern-day facility which will benefit the county borough for generations to come.

Works for Ynysawdre active travel route are complete

Supported by Welsh Government funding for active travel routes across Wales, Bridgend County Borough Council has recently completed a new active travel route from Ynysawdre to Coleg Cymunedol Y Dderwen, near Bridgend (seen in red on the map).

New meeting date to be arranged for Hybont planning application

An application for a hydrogen production facility and associated solar farm in the Brynmenyn and Bryncethin area will no longer be considered as part of a special meeting of the Development Control Committee on Monday 29 April.

‘Period Proud’ initiative launches at Halo’s Bridgend Life Centre

Bridgend County Borough Council’s Youth Support Service in partnership with Halo, last week launched a ‘pick ‘n’ mix’ style selection stand of free, ecofriendly menstrual and other hygiene products which are available for all, at the reception area in Halo’s Bridgend Life Centre.
