Budget settlement news prompts warning over council services

News that Bridgend County Borough Council is set to receive a 2024-25 budget settlement increase of 3 per cent has led the authority to warn that it is now impossible to avoid major changes for some council services.

Schools from across the county borough have won prizes in an annual competition set by the Welsh Heritage Schools Initiative - a scheme which encourages learners to take an interest in their Welsh heritage, as well as share their knowledge and understanding with their communities.

Ogmore Valley to benefit from project to increase woodland

In a bid to address climate change, as well as increase woodland and habitat connectivity at the top of the Ogmore Valley, the council aims to plant over 10,000 trees, with a habitat mosaic scheme being proposed for Aber Fields, also known as the ‘Planka’.

Council reveals concept designs for new community facilities in Porthcawl
