Temporary Fairground at Salt Lake, Porthcawl
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a licence to operate a temporary fairground at Salt Lake, Porthcawl. The council is offering the licence at the location shown outlined red on the plan - Site Plan
Trading shall not be permitted under any circumstances from any location other than that indicated on the plan. However, the council reserves the right to relocate the provision to another position.
The Licence would be for either:
A) 56 trading days to include Easter and Summer 2026 (subject to planning consent being secured by the Licensor and conditions being discharged by the Licensee) or
B) 28 trading days within Summer of 2026.
Under both A) and B) the exact start and end date to be agreed by the Licensor and Licensee.
The Licence can be renewed to Summer 2027 by mutual agreement.
Rides or equipment can remain onsite outside of trading days with prior agreement from the Licensor.
The provision should include the following:
- Variety of fairground rides and attractions suitable for younger children, up to teenagers/adults
- Food and drink stalls
- Temporary toilet facilities
- Licensee to be responsible for providing their own power supply
