Bridgend Athletics Community Asset Transfer
Bridgend Athletics was founded in the 1950s, with a team from Bridgend Technical College. This group evolved into Bridgend Athletics. In 1997, the grass track was upgraded to a floodlit 300m athletics track and clubhouse.
In 2019, Bridgend County Borough Council awarded £20,000 towards the cost of replacing the track, which was originally laid in 1997. The new track cost in excess of £100k and was part-funded by Sports Wales, Bridgend Town Council and the club itself.
