Pre-market Engagement Notice

Bridgend County Borough Council is conducting a Pre-Market Engagement campaign to encourage businesses to bid for Works contracts associated with Disabled Facilities Grants (DFG).

What it involves

BCBC intends to establish a Framework of Contractors to provide the provision of adaptions to homes across the Borough. The intended 4-year Framework Agreement has an estimated value of £7,800,000. However, any one Call-off contract from the Framework Agreement will generally be worth no more than £36,000, most Call-offs are likely to be significantly under this value.

Who can get involved

Potential Bidders will be invited to bid for the following works:

  • General building works covering all aspects of Disabled Facilities Grants including bathrooms, level access showers, kitchens, ramps, small and larger extensions, internal alterations, including heating and electrical works, wheelchair access, roofing, and all associated works such as tiling, non-slip floor covering, etc.
  • The installation, maintenance and servicing of all types of stair lift, together with any minimal ancillary work to facilitate the lift installation (e.g. alterations to the stair bulkhead, newel post, etc.).

How they get involved

BCBC is currently advertising on various platforms to arrange opportunities for Pre-market Engagement to enable contractors to ask questions and to supply them with information on how they become Tender ready.
