Recycling and waste collections
There are some changes to recycling and waste collections over the Easter holiday period:
- Collections will take place as normal on Friday 3 April 2026 (Good Friday).
- Collections due the week commencing Monday 6 April 2026 will be collected one day later than usual.

If some of your recycling is missed, please leave out for collection and it will be collected later.
Recycling centres
Community Recycling Centres at Pyle, Brynmenyn and Maesteg will remain open as normal, with summer operating hours commencing from Wednesday 1 April 2026.

What can/cannot be recycled
Yes please:
- Cardboard
- Plastic
- Foil
- Food waste
- Clean foil trays
- Glass bottles and jars
- Plastic bottles
- Food tins and drink cans
No thanks:
- Cards with glitter
- Wrapping paper
- Plastic sweet or chocolate wrapping
- Cellophane wrap
- Black plastic
- Bubble wrap
- Polystyrene
- Ribbons and bows
To ensure as much foil as possible is recycled, remember to scrunch little pieces together to about a tennis ball size!
