Ogmore Vale Flying Start
Ogmore Vale Flying Start is based within the school and is surrounded by the beautiful scenery.
The setting has its own dedicated entrance, ensuring safe and secure access for children and families.
With picturesque hills and natural landscapes nearby, the setting provides a calm and inspiring environment for young children.
The surrounding scenery supports outdoor play and nature inspired learning, helping children to connect with the world around them while developing key skills in a safe and supportive setting.
Sessions are also offered through the medium of Welsh, supporting children to develop early bilingual skills in a natural and supportive way.
"Our little girl is obsessed with playgroup. Always made to feel welcome, happy, supported and cared for very well. My child came home one day and asked for pink glitter playdough, and the staff made some for her the next day."
At our Flying Start settings, we provide funded part time childcare for children aged 2-3 years old who are eligible.
They are able to access high quality provision to support learning and development through child led play, in safe, secure and welcoming environment.
We are funded by Welsh Government to offer 12.5 hours of funded childcare Monday - Friday term time only.

Meet the team
All of our staff are trained in the Early Years sector. They are highly trained to support children's learning and development.
They attend regular training to ensure they are up to date with first aid, safeguarding, food hygiene and evidenced based research in the Early Years.
The team are passionate in making an impact in each child's time at Flying Start. They are dedicated to help them learn and develop through play and stimulating activities.
"They have so many activities to do he is always excited and if he has a new interest the staff find a way to make it happen. I get updates especially if my child is upset on drop off. The staff are quick to cheer him up and send photos."
