Bettws Flying Start
At Bettws Flying Start we know that children have an innate need to play, and we celebrate and actively encourage this.
Our children at playgroup can learn in an environment that allows them to develop their independence and decision-making skills.
Children can explore real life objects such as ceramics and loose parts to help them make sense of the world around them and learn new concepts.
The children will have access to a wide range of loose parts and upcycled materials.
At our Flying Start settings, we provide funded part time childcare for children aged 2-3 years old who are eligible.
They are able to access high quality provision to support learning and development through child led play, in safe, secure and welcoming environment.
We are funded by Welsh Government to offer 12.5 hours of funded childcare Monday - Friday term time only.
"Was an absolute pleasure seeing you all every morning. You'll be missed by myself, as well as my child. She has some outstanding memories that she made in pod with you all. You've worked so hard for all the children, and it's been a pleasure."

Vision Statement
Our vision is to create calm, nurturing, and child-centred environments where wellbeing, nature, and meaningful relationships are at the heart of our practice, and where strong partnerships with families and the wider community ensure every child receives a true Flying Start for life.
Meet the team
All of our staff are trained in the early years sector. They are highly trained to support children's learning and development. They attend regular training to ensure they are up to date with first aid, safeguarding, food hygiene and evidence based research.
The team are passionate in making an impact in each child's time at Flying Start. They are dedicated to help them learn and develop through play and activities.
"You’re all amazing and my child loves coming and she has come on so much since attending."
Action for Children
Our playgroup is proud to be part of Action for Children and be commissioned by the local authority to provide our playgroup service.
Being part of a national charity means we are in a unique position to help and support the children and families of our playgroup community in addition to the childcare offer.
