Maesteg Jobs Fair returns for another successful year

Monday 16 March 2026

Maesteg Jobs Fair returned to Bridgend County Borough last month for another successful event, organised by the Employability Bridgend team.

The jobs fair took place in Maesteg Town Hall on Wednesday 25 February between 10am and 1pm and saw around 300 residents attend the event. With the event being opened by Deputy Leader Councillor Jane Gebbie and Mayor Councillor Huw David also in attendance, there were 35 stands, which included employers and support agencies from across the county borough. Teams from Bridgend County Borough Council’s Youth Service, Enterprise, Apprenticeships and Health and Social Care were also at the event to offer support.

Attendees were able to talk to employers and discuss current job vacancies and upcoming opportunities as well as find a wide range of information and support.

“The Maesteg Jobs Fair has been a huge success and shows our dedication and support in helping residents change careers, or get back into work. Our jobs fairs are the perfect opportunity for residents to speak to employers directly and gain insight into a particular role and I am very pleased that this event was able to offer that on such a large scale. A huge thanks to the Employability Bridgend team and to all of the employers who attended the event!”

If you missed the jobs fair, Employability Bridgend are on hand to provide support for residents on their employment journey.
