Bridgend County Borough Council brings new flavour to Maesteg town centre
Monday 23 June 2025
Local mobile hot-food retailers are being invited to showcase their menus at an exclusive evening pop-up dining event taking place in Maesteg Market Square on Friday 1 August.
Giving traders a prime opportunity to cater to a new audience, the event hopes to strengthen interest in the area’s night-time economy, following feedback from a recent consultation which expressed the need for an expanded restaurant offer in the town centre.
Traders who are interested in acquiring the pop-up space can register an Expression of Interest on the council’s website before Friday 4 July.
Vendors can contact the council’s Regeneration team with any queries at regeneration@bridgend.gov.uk

“I am thrilled to support this vibrant new pop-up event, which follows the successful "For a Limited Time Only...?" initiative that supports local start-ups. “With the licence fee to trade covered by the council, this is an exciting and unique platform for local food vendors to display their creative culinary talents. “Maesteg is a thriving community, and this is a perfect opportunity to provide a welcome boost to the growing evening economy in the town centre. “I look forward to sampling the tasty cuisine on offer!”
