We are currently receiving a high volume of calls regarding garden waste collection dates. Please be aware that your garden waste will be collected on the same day as your refuse collection. Any customers whose garden waste collections are not on the same day as their refuse collections, will be contacted directly by Plan B.

Three nominees make finals of ‘Social Care Wales’ awards – and they need your vote!
The finalists for the ‘2025 Accolades’ – awards run by Social Care Wales have been announced and Bridgend County Borough Council’s Social Services and Wellbeing directorate have three impressive finalists in the running!
11 projects and seven individuals were chosen by a panel of judges as finalists for the 2025 accolades across six categories.
Our finalists are:
- Ffion Cole, Principal Officer - Nominated for Inspirational Leadership Award, sponsored by Practice Solutions
- Casey Baker, Social Care Worker, Supported Living - Nominated for WeCare Wales Award - sponsored by WeCare Wales
- International Recruitment for Children's Social Workers - Developing and inspiring the workforce Award - Sponsored by BASW Cymru
The 2025 awards will be held at the Mercure Cardiff Holland House Hotel on Thursday 1 May.
This year, the winners of two categories will be decided by public vote:
- Vote for the winner of the Inspirational Leadership award – Ffion Cole
- Vote for the winner of the WeCare Wales award - Casey Baker
