Counter terrorism (Prevent)
Prevent uses the support of people in our communities to reach those who may be drawn into terrorism often through extremist views.
Prevent is not about catching terrorists. It is about identifying people who are, or may be at risk from radicalisation, and supporting them to change direction.
Report an immediate threat
If you see someone acting suspiciously or a vehicle, unattended package or bag that may be an immediate threat, move away and call 999.
Report a non-immediate threat
If you are concerned about possible terrorist activity or are worried someone may be at risk of radicalization, visit the Government guidance webpage, complete a referral form or call the Police on 101.
