Shared Regulatory Services

Shared Regulatory Services (SRS) covers the council areas of Bridgend County Borough, Cardiff and the Vale of Glamorgan and service over 600,000 residents and 10,000 businesses. 

The service delivers a diverse and comprehensive range of functions that safeguard the health, safety and economic wellbeing of consumers, businesses and residents covering the main areas of environmental health trading standards and licensing.

Animal Health and Welfare

Animal Health and Welfare Shared Regulatory Services work in partnership with the Welsh Government (WG) and the Animal and Plant Health Agency (APHA) to enforce animal health and welfare

Trading Standards

Promote, maintain and ensure a fair and equitable trading environment whilst protecting the interests of consumers and local businesses

Environmental Health

Promote and protect the health, safety and wellbeing of the public through the provision of advice, regulation and enforcement in accordance with national and local policy

Food Hygiene Standards

Any premises which stores, prepares, produces, cooks or sells food in Bridgend, Cardiff or the Vale of Glamorgan must comply with the current food safety legislation.
