Special procedures: Acupuncture, electrolysis, body piercing and tattooing
Information on the new licensing scheme for acupuncture, electrolysis, body piercing and tattooing.
By law, you must be licensed to carry out:
- acupuncture
- tattooing
- body piercing (including ear piercing)
- electrolysis
Every practitioner must have their own special procedure licence which will confirm the procedure(s) they are personally licensed to practise.
Every special procedure business premises or vehicle must have its own premises/vehicle approval certificate.
