Delivery organisation: The Means
Bridgend County Borough Council eisted specialists, The Means, to undertake research and mapping exercise of community development and third sector activities in the county borough.
The project researched charities, community groups, community and town councils, networks, third sector organisations and volunteer groups in the area to help highlight what voluntary work is being undertaken, where the gaps are and analyse methods of achieving community success.
The vital research was key in helping shape the future delivery of community development programmes.
The mapping exercise looked at existing community development activities.
The survey gathered views from community organisations to help identify barriers for their supported members, look at what issues are not being addressed and what support is needed to enable the ongoing resilience of communities.
This project is funded by the UK Government through the UK Shared Prosperity Fund.
