Local arts, cultural, heritage and creative activities

Delivery organisation: Tanio

Tanio held a Community Fun Day in the Garw Valley for creative, artistic, and sports activities.

Working in partnership with Bettws Football Club and Garw Valley Youth, they day provided free drumming, crafting, 5-a-side football, face painting, Forest Arts, and more.

Each of the organisations involved reflected that the reach of the event was wider than they could have achieved on their own, and they engaged new members of the community that they had not worked with previously. The event provided an engaging, entertaining, no-cost opportunity for families to spend time together.

Additionally, Tanio hosted a series of immersive workshops at their building in Bettws. The workshops were designed for people living with PMLD, and created a magical world of exploration for them. Storytelling, music, drama, and sensory experiences were combined to make a vibrant and exciting atmosphere, where everyone belonged.
