Delivery organisation: Baobab Bach
Baobab Bach supplies affordable food to communities via Community Pantries.
It has three Growing Projects, two of those being sizeable plots at a council Day Care Centre and at Bronfair Community Allotments in Maesteg.
To maximise the growing potential of these two main plots sturdy raised beds were needed, along with weed membrane, topsoil, compost and a polytunnel.
The funding was used to purchase the necessary equipment for the construction of the raised beds in both locations and for the new polytunnel. A few other items such as a gate for the Garth allotment and picnic bench for volunteers was also purchased.
This project is funded by the UK Government through the UK Shared Prosperity Fund.
