Adverse Weather Updates

Information about Bridgend County Borough Council services will be posted here in the event of snow, flooding or adverse weather conditions.

1:50pm - Maesteg Community Recycling Centre has now re-opened.

 

1:45pm - The A4061 Bwlch mountain road is due to reopen at 3pm today. Thank you for your patience and understanding while teams worked to clear the road.

Crews are once again treating the precautionary network this afternoon and overnight as freezing temperatures continue. 

 

12:11pm - The top floor of the Rhiw car park is currently closed due to snow and ice.

 

10:00am - All recycling and waste collections are currently going ahead as normal. Where side streets are slippery or slushy crews may attend later than usual.

Maesteg Community Recycling Centre is currently closed due to snow and ice. Tythegston and Brynmenyn Community Recycling Centres remain open.

 

9:30am - Gritters have been out multiple times throughout the day and night to treat the precautionary network.

Ploughs are currently working to help clear high ground areas affected by snow, including the Bwlch mountain road which is currently closed.
