Posted on: Tuesday 20 February 2018
Bridgend County Borough residents with a keen eye on local issues will be able to watch webcasts of several public meetings being held this spring.
Bridgend County Borough Council has confirmed that the following meetings will be broadcast live online here, with recordings made available to be viewed on ‘catch up’:
Tuesday 27 February, 2:30pm: Cabinet
Wednesday 28 February, 3pm: Council
Thursday 15 March, 10am: Development Control Committee
Tuesday 27 March, 2:30pm: Cabinet
These meetings will give residents an insight into the current matters and future developments in Bridgend County Borough. Webcasting allows us to become even more transparent and is another way to engage with local residents.
Two years ago, the Welsh Government provided funding to set up our webcasting system, and since then we have monitored the viewing figures so that we can broadcast the meetings which have the most public interest. These forthcoming meetings scheduled for webcasting will cover a range of topics, including decisions over the council’s budget for the next year.Councillor Huw David, Leader of Bridgend County Borough Council said:
The meetings will be transmitted live at the Bridgend County Borough Council website, and will be recorded and archived so that residents can watch them at their convenience for up to 12 months.
