New safeguarding hub launched to protect the people who are most vulnerable

The safeguarding and protection of the most vulnerable people in Bridgend County has been given a significant boost with the launch of the Bridgend Multi-Agency Safeguarding Hub (MASH). The new integrated service became fully operational in July and is the third hub of its kind in South Wales.

Council marks Carers Week

Bridgend County Borough Council is marking Carers Week (11 – 17 June) with a range of opportunities for the public to find out more about this year’s theme, ‘Helping carers to stay healthy and connected’.

Change lives by becoming a foster carer

Bridgend County Borough Council is marking Foster Care Fortnight (14 – 28 May) by highlighting the need to recruit more foster carers to help transform children’s lives.

Could you ‘Bridge the gap’ in a young person’s life?

Bridgend County Borough Council has launched a new scheme which aims to recruit specialist foster carers to provide short term care for children and young people with a variety of complex needs and challenging behaviours.
