The local wellbeing plan and assessment
The wellbeing plan outlines how to improve wellbeing in Bridgend County Borough. Also, it shows how following the plan will help us meet the Well-being of Future Generations Act’s seven wellbeing goals.
As part of the Act, Bridgend PSB collected data and information. We asked local people about the strengths and challenges facing the area both now and in the future. This information was used to develop the ‘Bridgend Public Service Board Assessment of Local Wellbeing April 2017’.
The wellbeing assessment helps us to understand our citizens’ and communities’ needs, and we update it regularly. We have used the wellbeing assessment along with other key information to develop the Wellbeing Plan for Bridgend County Borough.
Documents related to the wellbeing assessment:
Welsh Government introduced a new law called the Wellbeing of Future Generations (Wales) Act 2015 in 2016. It created goals for each authority to improve the economic, social, environmental and cultural wellbeing of their area. The Act also legally requires each local authority to create a PSB, and we created ours on 1 April 2016.
