Learner travel review consultation

We are consulting on potential changes to travel arrangements for school and college students. As part of that, we want to know how any proposed changes to the Home to School/College Transport Policy will affect you and your family.

Basis for the consultation

We must save £35.2 million between 2019 and 2023. These cuts mean we must review all our services, including whether we can keep on providing more school transport than legally required. Currently, we only have to provide free travel for learners entitled to it. All other transport is discretionary, and the consultation document below gives more detail.
