Advertise on roundabouts

Roundabout sponsorship is currently suspended while we review the service and how it will be managed in the future. Until a new process has been implemented, we are unable to provide roundabout sponsorship.

Between four to six signs are allowed at roundabouts, depending on the location’s size. All signs have dimensions of 1200mm wide by 350mm high, and they must include the Bridgend County Borough Council logo. Costs vary depending on location, with busier sites being more expensive.
Adverts can include information such as:

  • branding
  • opening hours
  • premises’ details
  • products or services

They cannot include prices or costs. All ads must abide by the Advertising Standards Authority’s guidelines.

Unofficial signs are illegal

It is an offence under Section 132 of the Highways Act 1980 to place signs on highways without our permission as the highway authority. Anyone doing so can be fined. Moreover the sign will be removed with those responsible paying removal costs. Periodically, we inspect areas prone to flyposting, and remove illegal signs.
