Ogwr Ridgeway Walk (20km, 13 Miles)

Some of the most spectacular scenery and panoramic views in Wales can be enjoyed as you walk this 13-mile waymarked route from east to west across the mountain ridges. From windswept heights to wooded valleys, the scenery changes dramatically as you walk the Lower Pennant ridges from Mynydd y Gaer and Bryn Wrach to Mynydd Baeden and Mynydd Margam.
Be prepared and wear appropriate clothing and footwear. Even in the summer months, the weather can change dramatically on top of the hills. Refreshments can be obtained en route at Blackmill, Coytrahen and Llangeinor.

Most of the Ogwr Ridgeway Walk runs through Bridgend County Borough. This links into a number of other walks, including the Taff Ely Ridgeway Walk.
Route: Mynydd Maendy – Blackmill – Bettws – Margam Country Park
Suitability: Not suitable for wheelchairs/buggies and small children. Cyclists and Horses not allowed.
Length: 24 kms (15 miles). Allow 7½ - 8 hours to complete
Parking: There is informal parking at the eastern end of the walk at
Ty-Gwilym Farm and on the road by Mynydd Maendy. There are car parks available at Bryngarw Country Park and Margam Park. On-street parking can be found along the route, especially at Coytrahen, Llangeinor and Blackmill. The route is within easy reach of these villages.
