Simon Tucker's Surfing Academy, established in 2002, was opened by Tom Curren, four times World Professional Champion. Whether learning or wanting to improve your surf skills, join the experts and let proven professional coaching techniques and experience work for you.
Simon Tucker has unrivalled experience in teaching individuals, families and groups to surf safely. Simon has been surfing since the age of eight and in that time he has managed to achieve British Champion four times. He has been Team Captain and competed in World Championships in England, Australia, California and Brazil. Simon turned professional in 1988 and won two European Professional events, today he is still the last Welsh person to be British Surfing Champion.
Since Simon finished competing, he has become a professional BSA accredited instructor with SLSA Lifeguard and first aid qualifications. As an instructor he has vast surfing knowledge and expertise with a good teaching ability and caring attitude. Simon will coach you in the water, helping and encouraging you to learn and develop your surfing skills whilst gaining confidence in a surf environment. But most of all making sure you have great fun safely while leaning to surf.
