What is the Role of the Cross Cutting Issues Overview and Scrutiny Committee
Review and/or scrutinise decisions made or actions taken in connection with the discharge of functions in relation to all matters not allocated to any other Overview and Scrutiny Committee which overlap the functional boundaries between directorates, all matters not allocated to any other Overview and Scrutiny Committee relating to the provision, planning, management and performance of services which are provided by more than one directorate and the provision, planning, management and performance of the services provided by the Office of the Chief Executive. |
The Committee may also review and scrutinise the performance of other public bodies in the County Borough and invite reports from them by requesting them to address the Overview and Scrutiny Committee and local people about their activities and performance. |
In undertaking its role the Committee will seek to gather evidence from a wide range of people including Members of the public. |
