How to find us

How can you make yourself feel better or help a friend?

Cymraeg/Welsh

We are three young people living in Bridgend County Borough whose lives have had a devastating blow due to suicides. We would like to share some of our thoughts and feelings with you:

“The events that occurred had a devastating effect on us and our families and changed our lives dramatically. We all found help in different ways, but what we found to be most beneficial was each other. Together we were inspired to support others who may not be as fortunate as us. Therefore, we worked as a team to produce information that others could find helpful.

“The effect this had on our lives was catastrophic - we may not have made it through without each other. It is websites like these that are trying to prevent this pain that we had to cope with.”

If you find it difficult to talk, write it down, text someone, send a letter or an email. If you feel suicidal you must tell someone.

Spend more time with family and friends and discuss how you’re feeling.

Teachers are always available to talk to and listen to your problems.

Praise yourself. Tell yourself about the good things you have done today.

Understand that problems may just be short term.

You can always look for a solution to a problem.

Problems are not always as big as they first appear. Days or weeks later they usually look smaller and more manageable.

If you are worried about a friend who may be sad, stressed, or angry, tell a trusted adult such as a teacher.
