Community use of school buildings
'Community clocks'
As a result of audits carried out with schools 2007/2008 'community clocks' have been created denoting community use of all schools. All the community clocks which have the Learning Communities' school logo in the middle have 'signed up' to the Community Focus School agenda.
Community use agreement
The Learning Communities Team in partnership with the Property Department developed a Community Use Agreement to support schools to open the facility for community use.
The agreement was launched in January 2010 at the Primary Headteachers' meeting and is currently being piloted by the Nursery, Infant, Junior and Primary Schools.
The form will be launched in the secondary schools in due course.
