What is the Detached Work Programme?

Detached youth work provides opportunities for young people aged 11-25 year olds in Bridgend and the surrounding area, who currently do not access any form of youth provision.

What does the project aim to achieve?

The main aims of the detached project are to:-

Lead young people in the development of their intellectual, social and physical well-being

Work with young people who may/may not be using existing youth services/ facilities for whatever reason

Work with young people on their home ground - street corners, parks, cafes, pubs, shopping centre etc.

Work with young people as part of the whole community

To give young people control of their own lives and be able to participate fully in life

To develop activities that are linked to issues related to young people through the Borough.
