What support will I receive?
Allowances for general fostering
All our foster carers are paid a weekly allowance for each child placed with them. This is to pay for the child's day-to-day needs such as food, clothing, and outings. The amount you receive reflects the age of the child you care for, your skills and fostering experience.

Allowances increase after you have completed a successful year as a foster carer and you have been accepted onto the QCF Level 4 course. On completion of the qualification you automatically become a Level 3 carer. Allowances for Level 2 and Level 3 are shown below.
