Taxis - Safe Travel Tips
Travelling by taxi or private hire car around the County Borough should be convenient, comfortable and safe. That's why you should only use council licensed taxis that have regular MOTs and are insured for the purpose. There are two types of taxis in the county borough (hackney carriage (taxi) and private hire car) - both types have Bridgend County Borough Council door signs showing the number of the vehicle and licence plates on the rear of the vehicle. Drivers will also carry identity badges. Be on your guard for unlicensed cars and minibuses, especially late at night.
