Street Lighting
There are more than 18,000 streetlights in the borough and over 3,000 illuminated signs.
The council is responsible for maintaining effective and efficient street lighting and illuminated traffic signs. All lights are inspected regularly throughout the year and any necessary repairs are carried out. We also check any new light installations to ensure they have been installed to the correct standard.
