Bridgend County Borough Council is responsible for the management and maintenance of approximately 750km of public highway consisting of carriageways and footways.
The purpose of this work is to ensure that all highways are maintained to an acceptable and safe level of repair.
When problems arise we aim to:
- Inspect all dangerous faults immediately and take action to warn the public of any danger, or remove the danger
- Repair all dangerous faults
- Carry out non-urgent repairs within 28 days (dependent on the severity of the defect).
Major highway repairs and resurfacing are prioritised, using technical data obtained from regular inspections of all highways.
