Community transport

Community Transport provides journey opportunities for people who are unable to use conventional public transport, or who live in an area not frequently served by public transport or those with a disability.

It can also be used by people who are socially isolated from accessing basic public services and facilities, such as health care.

These services involve a workforce of dedicated volunteers, giving up their time to help others to provide transport services. Each operates in a way best suited to their locality and the communities they serve.

Ogwr Transport for the Elderly or Disabled (OTED)


OTED are a registered charity who provide door-to-door transport for persons registered with the charity. OTED provides an alternative for those who are unable to access mainstream public transport and they aim to promote the relief of aged, infirm, sick or disabled persons of any age, resident in Ogwr/Bridgend County Borough with the object of improving their conditions of life throught the provision of transport.
