Track 2000

Track 2000, Wales' leading Community Environmental, Training and Social Support Charity runs a community household reuse/recycling project in partnership with Bridgend County Borough Council at its operational site in Pandy Park, Aberkenfig, Bridgend.

The facility offers a collection service for county borough residents for redundant household items, such as tables, chairs, beds and domestic electrical appliances that can be reused or recycled. The items are then returned to the community to support individuals and families on low-income.

This service will assist in diverting waste away from the traditional, out of date methods of waste disposal and support the local authority's commitment to increasing recycling targets. Track 2000 will provide work and training for the unemployed who will refurbish the redundant items thereby contributing to community/social regeneration of disadvantaged areas.
