Gender

Bridgend County Borough Council is committed to eliminating sex discrimination and enabling women and men to participate on an equal basis in social, cultural, political and economic life.
The Council will be a champion for gender equality by producing a Gender Equality Scheme by April 2007, in line with our legal duty.
In the meantime, find out more by reading our draft Gender Equality Statement.
New feature: @Committee
This section will inform you when an issue relating to gender is discussed at the Council’s Equalities Committee, since the Committee was established in the summer of 2006.
