Preparing to Teach in the Lifelong Learning Sector(PTLLS)

This City and Guilds accredited course is for those who are or who want to be a teacher, tutor or trainer and need to be able to plan, prepare and implement learning for a specialist area. PTLLS is the initial award which has been developed to provide a threshold licence to teach in further education (FE).
N.B. Learners attending the PTLLS course should already possess a qualification in their chosen subject area.

CIEH Level 1 Award in Food Safety Awareness in Catering
This qualification is designed principally for those who are, or intend to be, food handlers. A food handler is any person, in any type of food business, who handles food, whether open or packaged (food includes drinks and ice). The course will provide training for those who perform 'low risk' tasks such as clearing tables, serving food, 'meals on wheels' and other such similar duties.

Save Our Planet - The Impact of Global Warming

One of the biggest issues facing humanity is the threat of global warming. This course will look at a range of topics such as the greenhouse effect, climate change and weather. It will also help to identify why we are experiencing more violent storms, floods and disease. This will allow discussions in identifying the causes and possible actions to slowing the rate of global warming. No previous knowledge of global warming will be assumed.
