Governor Training
The LEA provides training to all governors free of charge. Details of training courses are distributed to all governors at the beginning of every school term and also given to new governors with their Induction Pack.
We run a foundation course that is suitable for new governors, less experienced governors and governors who want to refresh their knowledge with reference to current changes. The course is full and detailed but will not be complicated.
The modules consist of:
* Induction
* Self Evaluation and School Development Planning
* Finance & LMS
* Foundation Phase
* Curriculum 7 – 14 yrs
* HR Matters
Governor training is a good way of improving your knowledge and allows you to share experiences with fellow governors of other schools.
